Hablobi is a Qur'an companion and gifting app. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and what we will never do.
Your account: email address and display name.
What you make and send: the cards, roses, and messages you send are delivered to your recipients and stored so that keepsakes work — like letters that arrive and are kept.
Your reading activity: which surahs and ayahs you return to. This grows your garden and shows you your own patterns. It is never used to pressure, rank, or shame you.
Diagnostics and usage: crashes, performance, and which screens are used — so we can fix what's broken.
With your explicit consent, the reflection feature sends the scan payload to OpenAI's API to read your state. It is never stored by us, never used to identify you, and never shared for advertising. You can use the entire app without ever using this feature, and you are asked for consent before its first use.
Face data. During a scan, the app uses the front camera (including the TrueDepth system on supported iPhones) so your blob can respond to your expressions. All of this happens on your device: the camera feed, depth data, and facial-expression readings are processed in real time and immediately discarded. We do not collect face data — no photos, video, facial images, or facial geometry are ever stored on your device, saved to our servers, or shared with any third party. OpenAI receives only your voice audio and words as described above, never your face. Face data is retained for zero seconds beyond the live scan itself, and it is never used to identify you.
No selling your data. No tracking you across other apps. No using the Qur'an or your worship as engagement bait — that is constitutional for us, not marketing.
Service providers only: Supabase (database and sign-in), OpenAI (the reflection scan, as described above), and Apple (payments). No advertisers, ever.
Settings → Delete account removes your account and your data from our servers, including analytics. Cards you already gave to others remain theirs — like a mailed letter.
Hablobi is not directed at children under 13.
